More than a thousand students storm NU for offline examination

Under the leadership of Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress President Kunal Raut, along with the banners and flags of the worker, have also entered the administrative premises of Jamnalal Bajaj of Nagpur University.

Nagpur: More than a thousand students under the banner of NSUI stormed the NU campus on Friday afternoon. There has been a demand to completely cancel the decision to conduct summer examinations in offline mode in all universities.

nu offline examination

This has also been the second protest in front of the university in the same week. And even though Uday Samant had made an announcement in this regard on Monday, citing the consent of the Vice Chancellors of all these traditional universities, But it is yet to fully articulate its official stand on the raging controversy.

Under the leadership of Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress President Kunal Raut, along with the banners and flags of the worker, have also entered the administrative premises of Jamnalal Bajaj of Nagpur University. They have also raised slogans like “like education, like exam”, “we will fight till the end”, and “we want justice”. And also pressurized the NU officials not to change their decision to conduct the online examination.

What is most surprising is that the Nagpur University administration allowed him to enter the building where he had been accommodated in the Senate Hall. Then later Vice-Chancellor Subhash Chaudhari had also met him in the packed hall and then reiterated the stand of the university on this whole issue as well. Along with this, he also explained to them that the government has taken a unanimous decision in consultation with all the VCs, and because of this, NU has to follow it completely.

Solve questions in the Multiple Choice Question

Kunal Raut has said that when almost 80% of the entire syllabus was taught online to the students, Then why are the students being forced to sit in the offline paper? Online lectures are still continued in many colleges. In many of them, the syllabus is not even completed at all and suddenly the examinees are forced to appear completely in pen and paper format, Which is totally unfair.

Supporting them, senior activist Ashish Mandpe has said that NSUI was agitating to conduct online exams and had already met NU VC in this regard.

Activists including Ajit Singh, Amir Sheikh, Amir Noori, and others have also reported this. That the examinees were taught to solve questions in the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format throughout the year and about a month before the exam. Along with this, they were also being asked to write descriptive answers in pen and paper format, which was totally unfair to them. And he has warned to intensify the movement even more, If Nagpur University reverses this decision on conducting the online examination and makes offline mode mandatory for all the candidates.
