The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) was tipped off regarding three active drug peddlers operating in the Nerul, Navi Mumbai area on Wednesday 27th Jan 2021. These operations were being carried out via Dark Net.
Following this, a raid was conducted and LSD, cocaine with marijuana (ganja) were retrieved from a Chevrolet Beat car with a total of 10 gm marijuana (ganja) and 121 blots of LSD i.e. 2.3 Grams (commercial quality) was caught. Two drug peddlers were arrested in this connection, viz. Arbaaz Shaikh and Vineet Chandran. In a subsequent follow-up operation on Thursday, the NCB has seized 336 bolts of LSD, 6 grams of cocaine, and 430 grams of marijuana (ganja). These operations were carried out under the able supervision of Sameer Wankhede – IRS, ZD, MZU. According to sources, the case took a twist on Saturday when the peddlers also hinted and revealed names of Moin Dossa and Kunal Vaishnav to be actively associated in the narcotics trafficking. NCB might start a follow-up operation to get through more peddlers as drug peddlers are running their network in Nerul for a long time.
