No covid cases in Vidarbha for the first time after second wave

Nagpur: None of the 11 districts of the Vidarbha region have reported a new coronavirus case on Sunday. This has happened for the first time since the start of the second wave of covid in January 2021. Even before this, zero covid cases were reported twice in 24 hours in December 2020. This indicates that the graph has gone too far down the line.

At present only 25 patients with covid are under treatment in the Vidarbha region. Of these, 13 patients are from the Nagpur district only. All of them are also in home isolation. Amravati 2, Gadchiroli 5, Wardha 3 and Chandrapur 2 patients are under treatment. All other districts in the region have 0 ‘active cases’.

Yavatmal district continues its zero coronavirus status till the third week. Gondia, Akola, and Bhandara have been covid-free for almost a week now.

District Nagpur has conducted 395 tests in the last 24 hours. None of them tested covid positive. In the district, out of 5 patients of covid who were cured in the last 24 hours, 1 was from the city while 4 patients were from rural Nagpur. At present only 4 patients with coronavirus are under treatment in the city. And that too in home isolation. Only 8 are undergoing treatment in Nagpur Rural.

Yavatmal: The district remained a coronavirus-free district due to no new covid positive patients during the last 24 hours in this district, The district’s toll remained unchanged at 1,803 on Sunday. The administration had received 166 reports in the district and all of them were found to be covid negative. So far the total number of positive patients is 79,065. The total swab samples processed so far are 8,52,620 out of which 7,73,555 have been found negative. The mortality rate is 2.28%, test positivity rate is 9.27%. The daily positivity rate of the district has remained unchanged at zero.

Wardha: The coronavirus figures of this district remained unchanged on Sunday as no new covid positive case has been found from 67 reports. The caseload, recovery, and toll in the district are 58,108, 57,142, and 1,351 respectively. Three covid positive cases are under treatment in Wardha.

Chandrapur: Out of the 52 tests conducted on Sunday, no new covid case has come to the fore. There was no recovery or even death. The recoveries and caseload are unchanged at 97,389 and 98,958 respectively. The toll in the district has also remained unchanged at 1,567. Now two covid active patients are under treatment.

Amravati: Out of 211 samples tested in this district. Bo new covid case has come to the fore, nor has there been any health or death on Sunday. The number of active cases under treatment in the district remains at 2.
