No supplementary sheets in IGNOU exam
P Sivaswaroop, Senior Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University has said that, They have greatly increased the pages in the main answer sheet and also completely closed the supplementary.
Nagpur: This is very bad news for students who like to pile up and ‘bulk’ supplementary answer sheets in vain hope of scoring high marks. The IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is the latest in a list of universities that have completely banned additional answer sheets to rein in the ‘warriors’.
P Sivaswaroop, Senior Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University has said that, They have greatly increased the pages in the main answer sheet and also completely closed the supplementary. In general, children tend to think that more pages will get them more marks. But in Indira Gandhi National Open University, they specify the word limit for each question based on the maximum marks allotted.
According to the officials of Indira Gandhi National Open University, on average, around 23-25 pages are provided in the answer sheets of Indira Gandhi National Open University. But a page suffices with the word limit for each question very clearly mentioned.
Student not only gave wrong answers
The University of Nagpur also follows a similar rule. Prafulla Sabale, Controller of Examinations at NU, has said that all the children only get about 38 pages to write their answers. For an exam of about three hours, so many pages are enough.
Recounts his early days as a teacher and it is told how a student not only gave wrong answers but also drew a picture., a senior academic, Lalit Khullar.
Lalit Khullar has said that so many are referred to as LPG, Which stands for privatization, globalization, and liberalization. The children did not know the answer very clearly at all but had to write something. Because of this, he wrote only about liquefied petroleum gas for LPG and also pulled the gas cylinder. And then he also wrote about how important LPG is for households and the economy.
