Nagpur: Cases of coronavirus spreading at an alarming rate, the TATR (Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve) has restricted safaris to only persons vaccinated against Covid. Restrictions will come into force in the core and buffer zones from the date of January 7.

On Wednesday, both the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve have issued a very strict advisory by Chandrapur District Collector Ajay Gulhane and Director Jitendra Ramgaonkar, In which the employees have been asked to take control of the startling control of safari vehicles at the gates.

Nandkishore Kale, Deputy Conservator (Core) has said that earlier, safari vehicles used to line up near the gate. And used to be allowed to go inside only at the scheduled time of 6.30 pm and 2 pm. There will be no clusters of any kind as of now and vehicles will be allowed to enter about 30 minutes in advance.

Vaccination Campaign Same Age Group

The definition of vaccinated will also include those who have received both doses of the vaccine or who have completed 14 days after taking the second dose of covid. Those who have been exempted from taking the vaccine and children under the age of 14 who have not yet been vaccinated, will not have any problems with them.

Kale has also said on the tourists between the age group of 15-18 years that the same category of tourists will be allowed. Because the vaccination campaign for the same age group has started from the date of 3 January. Another restriction also involves a distance of about 15 feet between two safari vehicles.

However, the stakeholders have also stated that this position will never be followed at all when the tiger is sighted. Similarly, about 6 members in a vehicle will be allowed only after coming from one family, Otherwise, only four people will be allowed in a safari vehicle.

It has also been said in the guidelines that tourists must keep sanitizer bottles along with face masks. Any tourist found without a face mask will be fined around Rs 1,000.
