Vidarbha has 200+ covid patients, of which Nagpur has 154 covid patients.
The number of patients under treatment in this area has also crossed the 200 mark on Saturday.
Nagpur: The spike in coronavirus cases, which began in the month of June, continued on Saturday with all the 11 districts of the Vidarbha region reporting around 73 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. A day earlier, this number was 63, and on Thursday 34.
The number of patients under treatment in this area has also crossed the 200 mark on Saturday. Now, there are 235 active cases of coronavirus in the Vidarbha region. It is also a matter of relief that more than 99% of these patients are recovering in home isolation. Of the total 235 active covid cases in Vidarbha region, 154 cases have also been found in Nagpur district. There are 100 patients with coronavirus in Nagpur city alone.
As of Saturday, Nagpur has registered 55 cases, of which 34 were reported from the city and 19 from rural Nagpur. Along with this, two patients who came from other states have also tested positive at the airport and in the city during random testing. District Nagpur has conducted 2,447 tests in the last 24 hours, of which 1,868 were conducted in the city (NMC) and 579 in rural areas.
The administration has also taken the current spike very seriously and started random testing at the railway station on Saturday as well. Now the facility of checking will be available on Sunday also. As a result, the daily testing numbers are bound to increase in the next few days. After Nagpur, other districts have also increased their daily testing. On Saturday also 5,508 tests have been conducted in Vidarbha region.
With the number of new covid cases increasing and recovering, the number of patients under treatment is also increasing. All 11 districts currently have active covid cases. Even after Nagpur, there are 17 patients each in Chandrapur and Washim, 11 each in Buldhana and Akola, 9 in Amravati, and six each in Wardha and Gadchiroli.
