Nagpur: R Vimala Collector, has completely stopped an elected councilor of Hingna Parishad from casting his vote during the elections of MLC Local Authority Constituency on Friday.
Talking to media persons on Thursday after reviewing the arrangements for the polling day, R Vimala has said that Sushma Kawale cannot cast her vote at all due to several discrepancies in her eligibility criteria. That is, the total number of voters will be up to 559.
Collector, the Returning Officer for the election, has told that the voter will also have to bring a photo identity card issued by the ECI (Election Commission of India) or the local authority, of which the voter is also a member. No other proof will be accepted at all.
In this city, polling stations have been set up at Nagpur City Room No. 2 and 4 in the Collectorate’s office for the corporators of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to vote. And the members of the council of the district will also be able to cast their vote in the Tehsil Office Room No. 1 (MLA Residence Complex) located in Nagpur Rural. And other polling stations are in rural areas.

She has stated that since each polling station is in the vicinity of the Tehsil office, For this reason, the bridge centers there – in the city, Ramtek, Umred, Nagpur Rural Office, Narkhed, Katol, Parshiwani, and Mouda will remain closed on Friday.
It has also been said that since Section 144 is invoked on the day of polling, For this reason, all the people have been stopped within a radius of about 200 meters of the polling station. Appealing to all the people to cooperate well in this process. Spy pens, cameras, tabs, mobile phones, spy cameras, as well as any electronic device of any kind are prohibited in the polling booths.
