Bharat Bags Highest Global Bollywood’s Grosser of 2019 till date
Bharat, the Eid Mubarak release, co-starring Katrina Kaif, and Salman Khan has made it huge in the global entertainment world. Sporting the different looks of Salman Khan featured in different age groups, the film is being appreciated all over.
This is why; Salman Khan’s Eid 2019 release Bharat still remains unbeaten overseas, including all the Bollywood releases this year. The last quarter of 2019 has set to begin, but the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is still the highest-grossing Hindi film abroad.
The film till date has built over $ 10.71 million (over Rs 75.99 crore) outside India, as per a Times of India report.
Adding another feather to his cap as Bharat cruised past Rs 100 crore marks in India, the film and trade expert Girish Johar said, “It becomes back-to-back 14 centuries for Salman Khan.”
Gully Boy, which was also India’s official entry official for the 92nd Academy Awards, stands next on the list of Bollywood’s biggest grosser, globally. Zoya Akhtar’s film raked in $ 10.25 million (over Rs 72.73 crore). Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film was based on lives of rapper Naved Shaikh (Naezy), and rapper Divine (Vivian Fernandes).
‘Josh’ for Vicky Kaushal’s “Uri – The Surgical Strike” has earned $ 7.46 million (over Rs 52.92 crore). “Kalank” has surprisingly made it to the fourth spot with $ 7.17 million (over Rs 50.87 crore), although the film, couldn’t go good in India and only earned Rs 21.60 crore on its first day in April, but slipped soon.
The Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer “Mission Mangal”, celebrating women power stands high on the fifth position, earning 7.10 million (over Rs 50.38 crore).
“Kabir Singh”, the biggest domestic hit of the year, is at number six in the global charts bagging $ 6.95 million (Rs over Rs 49.31 crore).
“Total Dhamaal” with $ 6.53 million (over Rs 46.33 crore), “Super 30” with $5.19 million (over Rs 36.82 crore), “Badla” with $ 4.68 million (over Rs 33.2 crore) and “Chhichhore” with $ 3.5 million (over Rs 24.83 crore) are amongst the other prime releases this year making it to the top 10 global list, till date.
