Five Youths of Yavatmal Died by Drowning in Kanhan River

Group of 12 Youths
The search for the rest of the youth is on. In Yavatmal, a group of 12 youths, all natives of Digras, had come to Nagpur, where ‘urs’ or religious gatherings were going on in different temples. Police have said that the deceased youths started from Yavatmal around 11 pm on Saturday night. After reaching inside Nagpur, the deceased youths offered prayers at the Dargah of Taj Bagh, where Baba Taj Urs is going on. Then the deceased youth had reached Kanhan’s river to take a bath.
From here, the youths had to go to another shrine called Amma ki Dargah in Old Kamptee taluka to pay their respects. Five youths went to take a bath, and there one was waiting on the bank of the river. Seven companions of the deceased youths were resting inside the car. And Vilas Kale, a senior inspector of Kanhan police station, has given this statement and said that this river is not suitable for swimming because there are very dangerous and hollow pits lying on the bottom of this river, these pits are not visible from outside.
