While talking to the media here, the Ballarpur MLA has also said that Congress party leaders themselves were saying that Gandhi’s descendants should already make efforts to save the party, “Which was rapidly disintegrating with the changing loyalties of its leaders”.

“The party base is also shrinking and it is also on the verge of a split. The G-23 leaders have been continuously protesting against the very wrong policies of the party’s high command and the wrong handling of their internal issues. Wherever the rally of Gandhi’s descendants went, the BJP benefited immensely. It also seems that this program has been organized to benefit our party.” They said.

Responding to Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP also expressing the possibility of the fall of the BJP-Shiv Sena government and mid-term elections, Mungantiwar has said that both these parties are spreading rumors to save their respective den. “As his workers were rapidly leaving him”.

Responding to a question on the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to retain the EWS quota

“When the government is working with an absolute majority and is stable, then where is the question of mid-term elections. Whenever the previous government (Maha Vikas Aghadi) has managed to rule for two and a half years despite being the most unstable, And there was no question of the collapse of the alliance led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.”

Responding to a question on the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to retain the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota, the senior BJP leader has also said that such reservation was given before 1980, “But it didn’t fit the Constitution of India guidelines at all and that’s why it was closed”. “We also appreciate the decision of the apex court, presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, considering the plight of crores of citizens. The poor are present in all categories, caste and religion and they will get their dues now,” they said.
