MSEDCL Likely to Waive 100 Units with State Government Intervention
In the recent buzz surrounding the inflated electricity bill, the state is likely to intervene in this matter. As per the Nagpur Live reports – the body called Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission has come out with some respite for the consumers. The energy department seems to have got several options to the Regulatory Commission. Of all the options, one can find the department waiving off the bill up to 100 units. Yes, you heard it right, this could be the option available for the consumers with inflated bills.
The other option includes getting some concession on the total bills along with others. As per reports, the MSEDCL has been very much clear about the fact that state government is ready to take a big burden on their shoulders as the financial condition of the MSEDCL is also not in a good shape. The concerned ministers are now demanding that the bills during the lockdown period should be waived off for 100 units.
As per reports, the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee had its meeting with the revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat along with the energy minister Dr Nitin Raut this Monday. The meeting then came out with the conclusion that the consumers falling under such a load should be waived off the electricity bill upto 100 units for the lockdown period.
