After uproar in bungalow, former DCP filed a petition against ‘friend’
Sources have said that an ongoing dispute between Former DCP Vinita S and her friend and her family had led to a scuffle at her bungalow in the last week of March.
Nagpur: Former DCP Vinita S, who is widely known as a no-nonsense IPS officer. It was only after several cash and documents went missing from his bungalow in Civil. An FIR has been lodged against a family who worked with their family members under complete intelligence.
Sources have said that an ongoing dispute between Former DCP Vinita S and her friend and her family had led to a scuffle at her bungalow in the last week of March. The attendants and security guards of his bungalow have also intervened and ensured that no untoward incident of any kind takes place at all.
Angered by the same chaos and uproar, the IPS officer had lodged a complaint with the police “as a precaution”. Because some of his cash and documents were not found at all. Based on the written complaint of an IPS officer, the Sadar police have registered a case of theft and assault against Abhinav Bohare and six others, including his wife and mother.
The matter is related to some alleged dispute
Along with this, even before this, he had been transferred to Daund, Pune as the Commandant of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF). Former DCP Vinita S too was immediately relieved by the city police top officials to ensure that there is no ‘conflict of interest’ at all. And there could be a very fair investigation because she was also technically the supervisory officer of the Sadar police station.
Kumar has said that CP Amitesh Kumar while speaking on this issue for the first time, said that the matter is related to some alleged dispute between two families. This case is neither a reflection of any safety concern with respect to women and neither is the vulnerability of the department or anyone else. They are also examining the contents of the complaint and will also take it to its logical conclusion. An officer of the rank of Inspector is also the Inquiry Officer of the case, supervised by an Additional CP.
It is quite credibly that naming a minor member of the Abhinav Bohare family in the FIR has not gone down well with the city police officers.
