AIIMS Nagpur A Webinar on “Sample Collection and Transport for COVID -19
The leading hospital – All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur seems to be busy in fighting against the menace called COVID. Recently the known hospital in association with the health body the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) have planned to come out with a facility center in Nagpur for the COVID-19 diagnostic facilities for the various medical colleges in the state along with others like Goa, Daman and Diu along with Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
As per reports, the AIIMS, Nagpur was seen conducting a webinar on the topic “Sample collection and transport for COVID-19” just recently. The seminar was carried out jointly by the departments of ENT and Microbiology of AIIMS Nagpur which was aimed at the training of the medical fraternity in the Maharashtra state at the large level. The incorrect sample collection and transport methods along with dealing with issues like effectively detecting and combating the ongoing COVID- 19 pandemics.
The session was then comprised with the video lectures followed by the interactive session as well which were dealt by the top doctors experts in dealing with the common and usual issues related to the transport of COVID-19 samples. As per reports, there are more than 130 logins for the seminar with more than 150 participants from different medical colleges and hospitals both from the state and other places. The session was carried out under the guidance of Maj Gen (Dr) Vibha Dutta the Director & CEO, AIIMS Nagpur along with Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar the Medical Superintendent.
