A big news here is that the telecom giant Airtel has dropped its Rs. 2,398 prepaid recharge plan, which used to come with 365 days of validity offering 1.5GB daily high-speed data along with the unlimited voice calling benefits. As per the latest update, the telecom giant is now offering the same with Free Data Coupons. This has been done to counter the Reliance Jio that brought the free data coupons to offer up to 6GB of high-speed data to all its prepaid users.
As per reports, the INR 2,398 Airtel prepaid recharge plan is no more in the place, which has remained the part of the show. Now, they are not offering this plan to anyone, thus you will not be able to purchase this plan from apps like PayTm or Google Pay. The company has done this to revise the earlier plans as launched last year. This plan had everything, free calling, 100 daily SMSes and 1.5 GB data daily for the year. With the departure, the company is likely to enhance its average revenue per user to bring it out the same with an additional 100 Rs. The same plan will be available at Rs. 2,498 soon.
It is interesting to note that the company is coming out with similar plans with additional 100 Rs with one year of validity. When compared with other plans of Jio, the users get the same at Rs. 2,599 plan. Besides, adding 100 Rs plan, the company has also come up with a “Free Data Coupons” offer for the prepaid subscribers with data coupons. These coupons can be availed with the coupon of Rs. 219 and via the Airtel Thanks app.
As per the Airtel site, the data coupons will be available for pre-selected prepaid users. The Airtel Thanks App can get the same via My Coupons option. The Airtel also plans to give two coupons for the prepaid recharge plans of Rs 398, while the rest like Rs 219, Rs. 249, Rs. 279, Rs. 298, Rs. 349, they have the same one free coupon option.The high speed data with 1GB on a daily basis will be valid for 28 days. While for the plans of Rs. 399, Rs. 449, and Rs. 558 the same will be valid for 56 days.
Lastly, the plans of Rs. 598 and Rs. 698 will get six coupons of 1GB high-speed data, which will be valid till 84 days. The site also informs that the users will be decided as per their eligibility criteria as set by the company. The chosen users will get their data credited wit the Data Coupons. When it comes to the number of daily winners, the company has kept no restrictions on the same. One winner to be decided once in a day claims the condition page of the website.
