Boyfriend arrested for abetting suicide of woman who burnt herself
The police have said that Rahul Manohar Bangare was a lover of Nikita Chowdhary and then he is accused of torturing her mentally and physically.
Nagpur: On Thursday, the police of Wadi registered a case against Rahul Manohar Bangare (24 resident of Sant Tukdoji Nagar) for abetting Nikita Chowdhary suicide. Who had allegedly set himself on fire in Surburdi on the date of 15 March.
The police have said that Rahul Manohar Bangare was a lover of Nikita Chowdhary and then he is accused of torturing her mentally and physically.
On the date of March 16, the burnt body of Nikita Chowdhary was also found in the MHADA Colony ground near Surbardi. Nikita Chowdhary, an unmarried woman living in Rana Pratap Nagar, had gone missing on the date of March 15. And his parents had also lodged a complaint in the police station of Rana Pratap Nagar.
Committed suicide by putting diesel
The city Nagpur police was also under pressure from political parties to register Nikita Chowdhary suicide as a murder case. A Bharatiya Janata Party delegation had met the police in Wadi to demand registration of a murder case as well. While NCP leader Jwala Dhote also took out a candle march demanding justice for Nikita Chowdhary. She had also alleged that the accused had set the victim on fire after being physically tortured.
In the investigation of the police, it has come to the fore that Nikita Chowdhary had committed suicide by putting diesel and then setting himself on fire. Wadi’s police have recovered a very important chat message between Nikita and Rahul Manohar Bangare. Police have said that during the investigation of the WhatsApp chat, the police have found that Bangare used to harass her physically and mentally.
The police said that the Wadi police had also arrested Rahul Manohar Bangare. As soon as it became clear that Nikita Chowdhary had committed suicide after his torture. The police of Wadi had also produced Rahul Manohar Bangare in the court on Thursday. From where he was sent to police custody till the date of March 28.
