GF Murder: Police don’t know why Farzana went to scary 4th floor of mall
Qureshi, who dropped out of class X midway, refused to marry Mujahid. Because Qureshi's mother had already rejected him.
Nagpur: The investigation team of Ganeshpeth police station is deeply shocked by the fact that 22-year-old Farzana Qureshi, whose mutilated body was found on Wednesday in the vacant 4th floor wing of Empress Mall, had died on December 2 with her boyfriend Mujahid Ansari. Why did she agree to go there together.
This murder is another very sad incident, which has happened in the intoxicated Empress Mall, Which has seen more than its share of unpleasant lawsuits, incidents, accidents, and controversies. Mujahid, the garage’s mechanic, had called Qureshi to the mall to settle the dispute between them. He wanted them to agree to marry him. Qureshi, who dropped out of class X midway, refused to marry Mujahid. Because Qureshi’s mother had already rejected him.
The Ganeshpeth police, which arrested Mujahid a day back and secured five-day custody from the court on Thursday, has obtained the footage of the third-floor CCTV camera. It also shows Mujahid and Qureshi walking towards the exit ladder, From where they could also reach the fourth floor.
An employee has said that this part of the wing was to be developed into a hotel and rooms were also built, But due to some reason, the construction had to be stopped.
ED Sealed The Place
A representative of the mall management has said that there are stray dogs in this wing as well and that is why we avoid it. We heard dogs barking incessantly only 2 days ago, But then he did not know at all what it was.
Mujahid had allegedly strangled Qureshi to death with a veil in a room on the fourth floor. He was angry that Qureshi wanted to marry some other boy. And the mutilated body was lying on the spot for a week before Mujahid reached the spot. The office of the management of the mall is in the second wing of the fourth floor, but the employees there had no idea about this crime in any way.
Although some workers and laborers have died at this place before, but this was the first murder. It is also learned that the mall was in the news after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sealed the place till the owners got relief from the court.
The Sadar Police had also traced the missing complaint lodged by the family of the deceased Qureshi to ascertain the role of her lover in her murder. Then later this matter was handed over to Ganeshpeth police station.
