Heavy Rains in Nagpur, collector orders the shutdown of schools and colleges
Just when the PM Modi’s visit to Nagpur has pushed ahead with the heavy downpour in Nagpur, we hear that the collector also issuing a notice to all the schools and colleges to shut down for a day as the Meteorological department of the city has issued a red alert against the constant downpour in the city. As per reports, a circular from the city’s District Information Department has issued a notice to all schools and colleges within the city to shut down on Saturday (September 7, 2019).
Its been raining cats and dogs a while that has led the heavy rainfall red alert forecast by the weather department. The district officer with his circular has asked the people to remain in their homes and safer locations to avoid any untoward and fall into extreme emergencies. Also, the noticed has asked the people of Nagpur not to panic or spread any kind of news without verifying to curb the rumors.
Also, the local administration has given a toll-free number for any emergency kind of situation. One can call Nagpur at 1077 in case of any emergency. With the weather still showing the darker side, the coming few days would be bad for Nagpur. With rains ruining the show, the city has got the respite from the heat and even fulfilled the dearth of water for drinking and other use, but it seems to have stranded the position making things bad to worse with the constant downpour.
