FIR against private contractor for digging road without permission

The traffic police have registered a complaint at the Imamwada police station, Which has registered a case against the firm under section 336, 283 of IPC.

Nagpur: In a warning sign to civil contractors completely ignoring the safety of motorists, Nagpur city traffic police, led by DCP Sarang Awad, registered a complaint against a private company on a busy road near the Government Medical College and Hospital. A complaint has been lodged with the police for illegal digging and excavation work.

On the date of November 28, Nagpur Traffic Police has found that a stretch of road was dug up just between Baidyanath Square and Medical College Square. Because of this, the drivers of the vehicles plying on this busy road face a lot of trouble. And even the shopkeepers coming to the VR mall parked the vehicle on the other side of the road, Due to which there was very little space left for traffic on the road. This chaos leads to heavy traffic jams.

Digging road without any permission

During the investigation, the traffic police of Sakkardara has come to know that the private company SR Engineering Private Limited Company had dug the road for laying several cables without obtaining the certificate from the traffic police. Whose traffic warden has not been found at all to ensure smooth movement of traffic.

As a result, the traffic police approached the Imamwada police station and lodged an FIR against the private firm.

The police of Imamwada have registered a case against the firm under IPC sections 336 (negligent act endangering human life or personal safety of others) and 283 (danger or obstruction to the public way or line of navigation). And a senior police officer of the Department of Traffic Police has stated that Section 336 of the IPC is punishable with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to 3 months, or with a fine which may extend to Rs.250. Or there is a provision of punishment with both.

A representative of this firm has admitted in Awadh that he has started digging the road without any permission. The senior constable has stated that the firm has obtained NOC from the traffic police to take up the work of laying the cable only after registering the FIR.
