Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over the alleged Nagpur land scam.
Nagpur: Even on the second day of the winter session, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has taken a very aggressive stand against the Shinde-Fadnavis government.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over the alleged Nagpur land scam.
While talking to the media, Nana Patole also said that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has no right in any way to continue in his post even for almost a minute and he should resign immediately.
Whenever Eknath Shinde was the Urban Development Minister, Then land worth about Rs 100 crore in Nagpur was handed over to a builder at a very low cost and in this case, the court also reprimanded the Chief Minister.
Mahavikas Aghadi leaders have also raised slogans against the government.
Nana Patole has even said that the court had condemned the decision of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. How could he continue in office after having committed such a huge land scam? During the Mahavikas Aghadi government, the then Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and Minister Sanjay Rathore resigned as soon as the allegations were made. Then when there was such a serious allegation and the court had also commented against him, then why was the Chief Minister not leaving the chair?
