A division bench of Justice Anil Pansare and Justice Sunil Shukre said that the presentations by the National Highway Authority of India are also encouraging from the point of view of road development in this area. As it is also a National Highway and also forms a very important link between Nagpur and Mumbai and the eastern cities of the country. It is also necessary that the entire block falling within the state should be brought in sequence and then it should be expanded according to the already approved plans.
Improvement by NHAI
While hearing a PIL (No. 22/2019), the bench has observed that the work of the section especially between Dhule and Bhusawal has been neglected. It is also very necessary that this part of the road should also be taken up by the National Highway Authority of India for its improvement without any delay. Accordingly, we request Manohar to obtain instructions in this regard and check whether the work related to upgradation of this road can also be done very soon, The judges said before adjourning the hearing till January 27.
Advocate Arun Patil, with the help of advocate Firdos Mirza, had filed the PIL highlighting the pathetic condition of the Jalgaon-Amravati-Akola road and the Wardha-Sindhkhed Raja road, due to which some fatal accidents have also taken place.
