Man died in tiger attack, 2 managed to escape after hearing roar

Chandrapur: A person from Doni village of Mul buffer range of Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve has died due to a tiger attack. The body of the deceased Bharat Kove (23) was found in compartment number. The caravan under 351 beat Friday morning.
It has also been found in the investigation that three people including the deceased had gone to Phuljari village on Thursday for some work. He was returning in the evening when his motorcycle broke down. While waiting near the motorcycle, he heard the roar of the tiger. Panicked, the three men fled in different directions.
Forest workers also suspect that the tiger attacked the Bharat and killed it. While one person Fuljari and the other Doni had reached on foot the same night. However, both of them thought that the Bharat had also run away and because of this, he did not inform anyone during the nighttime.
He informed the forest workers in the early morning, who started searching for the Bharat and found his body about 150 meters in the forest from the same spot where the motorcycle had broken down.

Then in the postmortem examination, bite marks have been found on the body and neck like a tiger attack. Pugmarks and drag marks were also seen on the same spot.
An ex-gratia assistance of about Rs 25,000 has been provided to the family of the deceased. Camera traps have been installed on the spot to identify this tiger. There is also the movement of 4 different tigers in this area.
Officials have also said that intensive patrolling has been started by forest staff and primary response teams.
In the same year, this 39th human has died in the attack of hunters in the district. Of these, about 34 people have died in tiger attacks. While leopards have taken the lives of these four people. 1 person has died in an elephant attack.
