It’s been three months that we see the Metro Line – Aqua-Line has been delayed for its inauguration despite being ready to start. The heavy rain forecast in City has led the cancellation of the Prime Minister in Nagpur that led the delay in the inauguration of the said line in the city. The Aqua Line connects Buldi to Lokmanya Nagar stretch of Nagpur Metro.
It was expected to be inaugurated with the presence of Uddhay Thackeray in Nagpur during the winter session. However, with the unavailability of Prime Minister for the event, there seems to be a delay in the said line inauguration. Talking about the same, an official of Maha Metro said that with the dates of PM not available, there seems to be a delay in inauguration despite the fact that the track is ready for inauguration.
Talking about the same, the official said that earlier PM was supposed to inaugurate the metro line on video conferencing, however, this could not work out due to the assembly elections in city. Then the high voltage drama in the formation of the government pushed things at the back burner. The official now claims that it would be a difficult affair to have both the CM and the PM together to inaugurate the Maha Metro line.
