Come festive time and we see the buses of private players in the market inflating the cost to a huge extent. They call this to be their best time to earn and making huge money. Even the state-owned buses of MSRTC (Maha State Road Transport Corp) too have come out with inflated tickets this time. However, inflation is restricted at most of the routes to be not more than 10 per cent. Since last Thursday to the coming week when people return to their workplaces, the new rates remain high.
As per the depot manager at Nagpur claim that considering the huge flow of people moving to different parts outside city and the state, the MSRTC has revised the rates for ten days to earn and make money since MSRTC has remained a loss-making body with buses plying in different routes from the city to different locations and back to Nagpur get lower occupancy.
On the other side, the private players in buses like Saini Travels, Royal, Pink and Purple LIne and Khurrana who play regular buses to destinations within the state and other places like Hyderabad, Raipur and Bhopal seemed to have inflated the tickets rate out of proportion.
