Nagpur will have its first Mobile Cancer Detection Van soon
With the growing pace of development taking place in the healthcare sector, we have witnessed the mobile clinics on wheels in recent times. Now, the citizens of Nagpur will have one of its first kind of moving cancer detection van in the region of Nagpur. Thanks to the Tertiary Care Center or TCC kicked off by the Ministry of Health, Government of India, the leading cancer hospital of the city called Rashtrasant Tukdoji Regional Cancer Hospital has got the new feather in its cap.
The said hospital is now being upgraded from the Regional Cancer Centre to the Tertiary Care Cancer Centre to have its mobile cancer detection van soon in the city along with the region. The service will soon start in the region covering districts like Nagpur, Saoner and Kamptee. Talking about the same the Joint Director Dr B K Sharma will play its part in keeping the track of cancer patients. After the van will start functioning, the data collected will be soon shared by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The said mobile van would have all the facilities one can wish for. Right from having the diagnostics tools for diagnosing ailments like cervix cancer, oral cancer, breast cancer, dental problems, and other issues. The van has four division in it called the ENT, a waiting room, room with well-equipped instruments and the dental room that will help to detect the various types of cancer. It will also have healthcare experts like ENT surgeon, a gynecologist, pathologist, and other medical professionals in it.
