NMC begins testing fully vaccinated passengers from other states

Nagpur: Only after the guidelines issued by the state government a day earlier, Only after the Omicron version of the coronavirus emerged in South Africa, the NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) has started conducting the RT-PCR testing of vaccinated passengers from other states who landed at the city’s international airport. After about 10 months, an international flight from Sharjah will also resume once again from the date of 5th December. And then all the passengers will also be quarantined and tested.

The state had also issued a completely new guideline in view of the mutated version. Till the date of 30th November, there was absolutely no need for a negative RT-PCR report of complete covid vaccinated travelers from other states. The government has also made it completely mandatory to report RT-PCR negative within about 48 hours of the arrival of every single passenger coming from other states in the revised guidelines.

Flights from Indore, Bangalore, Goa, Kolkata, New Delhi, Hyderabad, etc. arrive at the city airport. According to Nagpur Municipal Corporation data, about 1,500 commuters arrive daily to reach the city or other parts of Vidarbha and adjoining Madhya Pradesh from other states.

The additional municipal commissioner of Nagpur Municipal Corporation whose name is Ram Joshi. He has told that at the airport, a team along with a private laboratory used to test all the passengers from other states. Who were not vaccinated against covid. Right now they have started testing all the passengers from Wednesday. And there is absolutely no need to test full covid vaccinated persons coming here from other cities of the state.

Who test positive admitted to the hospital

Ram has said that Nagpur Municipal Corporation has received a communication from Mihan India Limited (MIL) about the resumption of an international flight from Sharjah from 5th to 29th December.

It has also been said that those who have not gone to the countries declared ‘at risk’ by the central government in the last about 15 days. They will also have to undergo an RT-PCR test and then leave for the home only after the result is negative. Those who test positive for covid will be admitted inside the hospital. Those coming from countries at risk will be compulsorily quarantined in institutional quarantine centers for 7 days. They will also be tested on the 2nd, 4th, and 7th days if they test negative. Then they can even go home, or if they test positive they will be admitted to the hospital.

After a break of about 11 months, flights from Sharjah have resumed once again on a weekly basis on the date of February 14 and have been stopped on the date of February 28. Currently, the flight will resume once on a daily basis on 5th December and on an alternate day basis till 29th December. A total of 11 flights are also planned on the dates of December 5, 8, 12, 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, and 29. And the decision regarding the continuation of this flight is likely to be taken only later.

Since it was stopped in the month of March last year after the cases of covid were detected in this city, that is why the international flight from Doha is yet to resume once again.
