NMC started mini Sewage Treatment Plant at Gandhibagh garden, CP bans all types of firecrackers except labeled ‘Green’
NMC is the first municipal corporation in India to set up waste water recycling projects in about 14 gardens.
Nagpur: On Monday at Shankar Nagar Garden after successful commissioning of 1 mini sewage treatment plant, Nagpur Municipal Corporation has started 1 more STP at Gandhibagh garden. MLC, BJP city president Pravin Datke, MLA Vikas Kumbhare and Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari This sewage treatment plant has been inaugurated. Which has the capacity to completely clean up to 5,000 liters of sewage water per day.
Tiwari has said that the work of setting up about 14 such mini STPs in different parks is in progress. And also he has said that if every single mini STP start working well. Then NMC can easily save up to 40 lakh liters of potable water in the city.
Mayor has said that, NMC is the first municipal corporation in India to set up waste water recycling projects in about 14 gardens. The waste water flowing from under the Gandhibagh garden can now be recycled and used easily in all the parks.
Every year during the summer season there is a severe shortage of water in the gardens. And the water level in wells also becomes very low. He has also said that now to overcome this, NMC has started this project. And now even if it is very hot, greenery can be maintained very easily in all the gardens of NMC.
All systems used for wastewater treatment plants are manufactured by 1 Japanese firm. The work of setting up about 14 mini STPs in other gardens is in the final stage.
CP bans all types of firecrackers except those labeled ‘Green’
Nagpur: Amitesh Kumar city police chief, has now banned all types of firecrackers except those labeled ‘Green’ as per the directions of the Supreme Court and the National Green Tribunal.
The top police officer has issued a notice under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, completely banning the use of regular firecrackers between 8 am and 10 pm in the night time.
City police chief Amitesh has formed a special action squad for surprise inspections and raids on all firecracker shops.
