Nagpur: The city police has decided to adopt a zero tolerance policy towards any social media (SM) nuisance, which can be termed as completely ‘objectionable’.

Apart from tracking the movements of suspicious groups and individuals, social media (SM) posts and messages are also being closely monitored across the state right now. Because they have also become the most common trigger points for riots and mass clashes.
SM monitoring has been increased in Kolhapur and Akola
CP Amitesh Kumar has also said that apart from confiscating the mobile handset, crime will be registered. “Strict legal provisions of the law are going to be applicable for posting any objectionable status on one’s social media (SM) account in any way or sharing or posting messages that hurt the sentiments of other communities,” said the top cop.
CP Amitesh Kumar has also said that social media (SM) monitoring has been increased in Kolhapur and Akola in the backdrop of disturbances created by several miscreants.
CP Amitesh Kumar has said that, “Police stations have also been sensitized to take immediate and strict action on any complaint of misuse of social media (SM), which may be provocative or objectionable to certain sections.” adding that harassment by any group will not be tolerated at all. “Keeping in view the various challenges and trends emerging almost every day, the Cyber Police Station has also been substantially strengthened,” they said.
