The police will now proceed with the legal procedures under the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) to confiscate the properties through court orders, According to the City police chief.

Amitesh Kumar has also said that most of the fugitives belong to Ganga Jamuna. Keeping in view the status of these cases before the High Court and without taking any notice of any issue being dealt with by the judiciary at all, Police will try its best to nab this accused. These accused have not yet faced the criminal justice system at all.

On the date of August 11 this year, Amitesh had completely stopped sex work in Ganga Jamuna. This has led to socio-political protests and has also led to litigation for contempt of court. After issuing prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the CP had proceeded to mark several places as ‘public places’ before banning the act of sex within about 200 meters as per the law.

Amitesh also later issued a notification under IPTA, In which customers going to brothels and sex workers soliciting on the street were banned. City police chief ensured a very strong deployment of the police force in the Ganga Jamuna to prevent visitors, especially customers, from entering the brothels.

He has also said that eight brothels have been completely sealed and the High Court has also upheld his decision in many of them.

In a recent controversy, such a thing has also come to the fore that sex workers have started soliciting clients on mobile phones. And along with this, a case was also registered against a sex worker and his client for making an audio clip viral. In which he has been heard accusing the police and abusing a woman officer.
