As we know the month of December and January remains the most happening months of the year, we see different activities coming up all the time. One of the popular events in the city which we often see in Jan is Cyclothon. This year it was called Saksham – Cyclothon 2020, which was organized to create awareness on the environment and protection about the same along with creating the awareness about the same.
The ‘Saksham – Cyclothon 2020’ cycle rally was seen organizing the joint efforts of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, along with the other big PSU known as Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). All these groups have come forward with The Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) falling under the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Air to organize the same.
Talking about the rally, it all started from the Nagpur University or the Rashtrasant Tukodji Maharaj Nagpur University Sports Ground located at Ravi Nagar. It then went to Law College Square and took the turn towards the Japanese Garden square and then took left towards Futala and thus concluded at the university ground. Mr. Mahesh Jangam the Regional Head of the regional administrator of BPCL. We have seen such kinds of rallies being organized by various groups and companies all across the country. People of different age groups participated in the rally. These included even the LPG gas delivery men along with the DSM of petrol pumps too were seen participating in the cycle rally.
