Woman shoots mother-in-law with revolver stolen from neighbor

The deceased mother-in-law has been identified as 68-year-old Asha Porajwar, Who is a resident of ward number two of Arni town.

Yavatmal: A woman shot and killed her mother-in-law on Monday with a revolver stolen from a retired jailer’s neighbor. The police arrested the accused woman and recovered the revolver from under the kitchen rack. During preliminary interrogation, the accused woman has confessed to her crime.

The deceased mother-in-law has been identified as 68-year-old Asha Porajwar, Who is a resident of ward number two of Arni town. The accused is Saroj Arvind Porajwar (28). The accused woman has stated that she had decided to kill her mother-in-law as they often do

The accused is a neighbor of retired jailer Prabhu Gawhankar. On the date of January 21, his revolver and seven bullets were found missing and then he also lodged a complaint with Arni’s police. It is now learned that Saroj Arvind Porajwar had stolen the revolver and seven cartridges and kept it hidden in his house.

Found revolver from under the kitchen rack

On Monday, Asha Porajwar was busy with worship and then there was no one else at home. Saroj Arvind Porajwar shot Asha Porajwar on the head and then she died on the spot. Arni’s police have been informed that Asha Porajwar had slipped on the slippery floor and fell down. Due to this, the head was injured.

Asha Porajwar body has been sent to GMCH, Yavatmal. Darwa SDPO Aditya Mirkhelkar said that the post-mortem report has confirmed the cause of death to be bullet injury.

Meanwhile, Arni’s police searched Saroj Arvind Porajwar house and then found a revolver from under the kitchen rack.

Arni’s police station officer Pitambar Jadhav told that the police has taken Saroj Arvind Porajwar into custody and during interrogation he has confessed to the crime. Further investigation is going on in this matter.
