To curb the crime, the police of Zone-3 raided the liquor store
About 44 officers and eight constables have been deployed with special vigilance between around 6 pm to 11 pm on 22 beats for round-the-clock policing.
Nagpur: Police have activated 22 beats (areas) in the central part of the city. So that vigilance can be fully heightened in and around the liquor store, most notably by criminals on the throne. Zonal DCP Gajanan Rajmane is also monitoring the action being taken by key officers and constables through the WhatsApp group ‘Zone-III Super Cops’.
About 44 officers and eight constables have been deployed with special vigilance between around 6 pm to 11 pm on 22 beats for round-the-clock policing. Along with this, the police have also claimed to limit the crime rate to about 50% in comparison to last year under Pachpauli, Shanti Nagar, Lakdganj, Kotwali, Tehsil, and Ganeshpeth police stations.
Gajanan Rajmane has also said that a detailed analysis also shows that the cases of assault and injury and other criminal activities are at a high level between around 6 pm and 11 pm.
Gajanan Rajmane has said that he had also raided the liquor store during the same time slot. And also asked the owners to inform the police if goons or their associates used to come to their place. He also started besieging the goons from bars and liquor stores and then took action against the owners for violating the rules.
Six police stations has increased from 16% earlier to 75%
The DCP has said that they have found that alcohol had been served to the teenagers. The owners were also slapped with stern action.
Gajanan Rajmane has also said that in the last several months only three cases of murder and attempt to murder have happened.
He has said that even after taking them in random action, about 750 goons were slapped with preventive action. They had conducted at least 44 raids at different places to crack down on these illegal activities as well. Even under him, the number of convictions in six police stations has increased from 16% earlier to 75%.
Gajanan Rajmane also said that on an experimental basis, he has put other inspectors in each police station in charge of the detection branch (DB).
