4854 Aapli Buses break down in less than six months
It was just six months before when the State Transport in Nagpur introduced the smaller version of city buses called Aapli Bus. Around 4854 buses were launched in April 2019 and the red bus operators have been moving with the buses all around the city. However, as per the recent reports, most of the buses are in poor shape. All thanks to the poor maintenance and the bad roads that have added woes to the pathetic conditions of the buses.
Most of the seats at the back have been broken even though the buses on the roads brought up were brand new on the Nagpur roads. The month of September has witnessed the breakdown of more than 31 buses in the city. As per the NMC latest reports, around 941 buses in the city have been reported with issues like snug. With this figure, around 27 buses have been developed snag on every day. The rise in the break down of the city buses is due to the reasons like poor roads and no maintenance.
The city ST department has roped in buses from different travel agencies like Hansa Travel, TK Travels and Travel Times Car Rentals. More than 1.5 lakhs of commuters are seen availing the bus service all across the city. A large number of buses are now seen stranded in different parts of the city. Also, there are more than 380 buses that are more than 10 years in the city. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
