Which comes under the (NDDB) National Dairy Development Board. Nitin has also called upon Mother Dairy to increase milk collection centers in the area, and also said that the growth of milk dairy could not be achieved as expected in the last almost 3 years.
Even inside the meeting, the state’s milk dairy development and animal husbandry minister named Sunil Kedar, NDDB president named Minesh Shah, Mother Dairy’s managing director named Manish Bandlish, Animal Husbandry Commissioner Sachindra whose name is Pratap Singh, Project Director named Ravindra Thackeray and many officials including him were also present.
Villages got connected with Mother Dairy
There should be good coordination between the purchasing departments and marketing. And all the complaints of all the farmers in the purchase of milk should be resolved on priority. The products of Mother Dairy are very good but the marketing of Mother Dairy is not as expected.
Both Sunil Kedar and Nitin Gadkari have emphasized that more efforts should be made to increase daily milk procurement in the districts of both Marathwada and Vidarbha to bring about the White Revolution.
During the meeting, many works done by Mother Dairy under this agreement have been reviewed. The demand for milk is very high but due to insufficient number of milk collection centres, Mother Dairy milk is not being made available to all the people yet Nitin said.
All the milk that is procured from all the farmers of Solapur and Kolhapur districts alone, only within that quantity, milk is procured inside the whole of Vidarbha. In the last 3 years, about 15-20 lakh liters of milk was expected to be procured. From 2016-17 to 2020-21, more than 15,000 farmers from about 1996 villages are associated with Mother Dairy.
There is a lot of need to make a plan so that about 8-10 liters of milk can be procured every day. And it should also be ensured that milk procurement and more collection centers increase in each area. Mother Dairy has to attract all the farmers to sell the milk and at the same time.
