Nitin Raut and Milind Mane at Nagpur North Constituency: An Interesting battle to witness
Like the other constituencies of Nagpur city, the North seat too is fierce and competitive. The upcoming Maha Assembly elections would witness the big fight between the veterans of both the parties – the Congress and the BJP. Ther former party has Nitin Raut contesting for the said seat, while Mane is fighting from the BJP. The contest would be tough and interesting, let’s see how the table turns but at the moment it is difficult to predict anything as both remain strong contenders:
Nitin Raut – He is a big name in Nagpur city who has even served in the Cabinet as the Minister of Employment Guarantee and Water Conservation in the UPA Government 2019 to 2014. With a degree in aviation, he never tried his luck in this field and took a plunge in politics. He has worked on different positions including cabinet minister as well. Apart from the above said ministry, he also was the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries, apart from Home, Jail, State Labor and Excise Department. He also owns one NGO called Sankalp active relief work for natural calamity victims.
Dr. Milind Mane – He is also a strong candidate at the North seat. Born and brought up in a poor family, he worked hard to carve his niche in becoming an ace doctor doing his master’s medicine. He joined the BJP in the late 2000 and then contested election for the ward elections to win as a corporator in 2010. He emerged as a winner in the 2014 Maha Assembly elections beating Nitin Raut to be the MLA on the BJP ticket. Earlier he was in RPI but failed to get any victory with the said party.
Wrapping up
At one end we have a seasoned politician from the INC, while on the other a less experienced one but has beaten the former. So, it would be interesting to see how things would move between the two in the upcoming Maha Assembly elections on 21st October. Wait and watch!
