NIT estate department proposes to allot 16,000 sq ft public use land to private school
Shri Nagpur Gujarat Samaj has applied for allotment of the said land for educational purposes.
Nagpur: The Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) Estate Department has proposed to allot the entire land reserved for a government institution directly to a private school. This decision will be taken in the meeting of the Board of Trustees to be held on Wednesday.
“16,080.82 square feet of land is located in Industrial Area Road Plan. Shri Nagpur Gujarat Samaj has also applied for allotment of the said land for educational purposes. Accordingly, the state government has directed to send the report on the date of 18th August. Advocate Nishant Gandhi, Secretary of Student Awakening, has given an application to the Deputy CM’s office on the date of 29th September. Accordingly, the Deputy CM has directed to conduct an inquiry and take necessary action. For allotment of land directly to Chhatra Jagruti, prior approval of the government is necessary. After getting approval from the government, the rate of the land will be fixed by the Rate Fixation Committee under the NIT Land Disposal Rules. Then, the land can be allotted under the rules. Because of this, the proposal is placed before the Board of Trustees for discussion and decision,” the department said.
The Board of Trustees of the NIT will discuss and decide on 11 more proposals
NIT had allotted the said land to Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Halba Vikas Parishad on 10 February 1994. The institution had taken possession of the land on 17 February 1994. But the institution has failed to construct even the sanctioned building or use the property for any public purpose. Due to this, the allotment of land was completely canceled by Nagpur Improvement Trust, and the decision was conveyed to the organization on 3rd March 2016.
The department has also stated that there are two permanent constructions of 1,796.06 square feet at the rear of the land.
The Board of Trustees of the NIT will also discuss and decide on 11 more proposals.
