Maha Vikas Aghadi panel wins all seats in Amravati
Nana Nagmote, Bhayyasaheb Nirmal, Pratap Bhuyar, Harish More, Rekha Kokate, Santosh Ingole, Kishor Changole, Ashutosh Deshmukh, Alka Deshmukh, Prakash Kalbande, Satish Gote, Pravin Alaspure, Shrikant Bonde, Ram Kharbade and Milind Tayde were among the winning candidates of the Sahakar panel.
Amravati: The Sahakar panel under the leadership of Congress MLA Yashomati Thakur won all 18 seats in the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) of Amravati on Saturday. Due to this result, the farmers’ panel led by MP Navneet Rana and MLA Ravi Rana has suffered a major setback. Ravi Rana’s brother Sunil has also faced a very bad defeat in the elections.
While Yashomati Thakur, Congress District President Bablu Deshmukh, Preeti Band of Shiv Sena (UBT), And NCP’s Sunil Warhade head the cooperative panel, the farmer’s panel is headed by the Rana couple, cooperative leader Vilas Mahalle, BJP’s Nivedita Chowdhary and Congress’ former Zilla Parishad member Prakash Sable.

Apart from Amaravati, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has also dominated five other Agriculture Produce Market Committee elections around the district.
Two seats went to the account of independents
In Chandur Railway, it has won 17 out of 18 seats in a landslide under the leadership of Virendra Jagtap. While the lone seat has gone to the Shetkari panel led by BJP MLA Pratap Adsad.
In Anjangaon Surji, the Sahakar Panel of Maha Vikas Aghadi led by Anant Sable has won around 17 seats, while its main rival, the Parivartan panel got just one seat. In Nandgaon Khandeshwar, the Sahakar panel got 11 seats while Parivartan Sahakar panel got around five seats. About two seats went to the account of independents. And the Shetkari Ekta Panel, headed by MLA Pratap Adasad, has drawn a vacancy here.
In Morshi too, the Pragati panel led by Thakur, Harshawardhan Deshmukh, and MLA Devendra Bhuyar won ten seats, while MP Anil Bonde’s Kashtakari panel got five. In Teosa, Yashomati Thakur led the panel and won all 18 seats.
Even while reacting to the results, Thakur made a scathing attack on the Rana couple and also said that the voters have taught a lesson to those who misused Hanuman Chalisa.
