Finally, the wait for the Acqua Line of Maha Metro in the city is over as we see it getting kicked off today. After getting the trial rounds a couple of weeks or months before, the said route of Metro in the city was ready to start. However, it has been pending for its operation since PM Modi and the state CM could not find time together to come down and inaugurate the said line.
It was slated to come out in September 2019 but the unprecedented rains falling in the said month made things bad to worse. Rest the delay in the formation of government in Maharashtra also hampered the same. Earlier it was supposed to be inaugurated by CM Uddhay Thackeray’s visit in the city on the first winter session in the city, but things did not work and it got delayed again.
Now, the officials of Maha Metro along with the local politicians managed to get both the PM and CM on the video conference to get the Aqua line inaugurated. This line would connect Sitabuldi to Lokmanya Tilak station along with Khapri station thus helping the commuters to use the metro on time. It is a stretch of 11 km long which will be inaugurated today in the first half by the two dignitaries along with the presence of city politicians and other officials. These include the City Guardian Minister Dr.. Nitin Raut and Opposition leader Mr. Devendra Fadnavis. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
