Accused teacher returned Rs 5k taken from PhD student to former HOD

The statutory members of NU have disclosed on Thursday that the accused teacher has recently returned the bribe amount apart from two complainant girls, Which he had taken from a Ph.D. student.
The members have also said that the teacher had also returned about Rs 5,000 in a packet to the former head (HOD) of the same department, Who was the guide of that Ph.D. candidate. This accused teacher has also visited HOD’s house and has also pleaded for forgiveness from him. And the girl has also been asked to return the amount. When the retired HOD has refused to accept the packet despite a few requests, Then they dropped the packet on their verandah as well and left.
Narrating the story of the first girl, The statutory members of NU have also said that the accused teacher has asked him to come to the department on the pretext of many formalities, Even though his post-PhD exam was online the very next day.
Girl student came to the department
A statutory member has said that he then told her that he had brought Haldiram’s snacks for his own and contributory lecturers on the day of the exam itself. He has also told her that if she wants to pass the exam, then donate some amount as well. When he gave her about Rs 1,000, Then he slammed her, Asking if he was a beggar and also warned him to give about Rs 5,000. As soon as she went back home without even handing him the cash, He had repeatedly called up the contributory teachers and called them himself.
The members have said that the very next day when the girl student came to the department with her husband, she was also asked to pay around Rs 5,000, Otherwise, its result will not be released at all. With no other option at all, he gave the amount to her. Then even after that, he deliberately did not release his result for the next three to four days at all, So that he can be punished for not providing the cash even on the stipulated day.
