Nagpur: 3 Days delay after, NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) on Friday submitted the delimitation of wards with the SEC (State Election Commission). Meanwhile, senior corporator Sunil Agrawal and many others also feel that if the State Election Commission would have greatly accelerated the process of finalizing the delimitation of wards and reservations. Then the State Election Commission can conduct elections on time.
Exact extent of the new wards
There will be up to 52 wards and all of them will be new because the government of this state has changed the 4-member ward system to 3. And the draft submitted by the civic body also includes the areas and boundaries of each of the wards.
Corporators, Political parties, and interested candidates will also come to know about the exact extent of the new wards only after the publication of the draft by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
There is also a round of speculation about the boundaries and areas in the new wards in the political corridors. Many are also circulating the pictures marked on the map.
The administration of the district is also engaged in finalizing the voter list completely. Its final list is also likely to be published on the date of January 5.
