BREAKING: Madhuri Dixit plays a homosexual character in Amazon Prime Video’s Maaja Maa

It has now come to the fore that Maja Maa is not a typical family film at all. A source has told that Actress Madhuri Dixit has played a lesbian character in Maja Maa in a stellar manner. As she prepares for her son’s wedding, how her sexual orientation adds to loads of conflict, madness, and entertainment is the crux of the film.

Apart from actress Madhuri Dixit, Maja Maa also stars Rajit Kapur, Barkha Singh, Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik, and the Simone Singh. It is directed by the Anand Tiwari.

The source continued, It goes without saying that the gay element as a whole is clearly handled sensitively, barring any headline in Maja Maa. Time has changed. More recently too, Bhumi Pednekar played the character of a lesbian in Badhaai Do and her portrayal was also beautifully portrayed. And in the same way, actress Madhuri Dixit’s character has also been handled very sensitively in Maja Maa. That’s why a star like him has agreed to sign for such out-of-the-box parts.

The most interesting thing is that this is probably not the first time that actress Madhuri Dixit is playing a homosexual character. She knows about it and accepts it wholeheartedly. It is yet to be seen whether actress Madhuri Dixit’s family and loved ones in Mama Maa finally accept her sexual orientation with open arms.
