In the current lockdown, the position of the Vice-Chancellor in Nagpur University was seen vacant. The appointment for the same is seen pending as the ad did appear in the concerned newspaper and the university website. But with the interview procedure on the hold, we the concerned department taking the decision to depute Dr. Murlidhar Chandekar as the new acting VC of the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU).
As per reports, Dr Murlidhar Chandekar is currently the Vice-Chancellor of Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University. He has not taken the charge of additional or acting VC for Nagpur University for the current term. As per reports, the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Dr S P Kane’s term has ended on April 7. Considering the closure of the term, we have now seen the new acting VC taking up the charge now.
As per the meeting taking place of all the VCs of different Universities in the state in recent time, Dr. Murlidhar Chandekar was nominated for the position and his appointment finally came into effect yesterday. Hence the current urgent need of the acting VC has been handed over to the Amravati University. Dr. Kane was seen handing over the charge to the new acting VC of the Nagpur University of Dr Chandekar.
