Fire Broke out at Ambazari Park Damaging grass in 9 ha land
In the recent update about the city, a fire has broken out at the Ambazari Biodiversity Park at one of the feeders at Shankar Nagar tower based at MSEDCL at the Ambazari Biodiversity Park in the areas falling under compartment no:797 reserved forest, gridno: 3, Wasudeo Nagar this Tuesday morning. The fire further caught the dried leaves spread in nine hectares of land. As per reports, the labours working at the watchtower no 1 first noticed the fire and then immediately informed the control room.
After getting the info, the staff from the Ambazari and Range Forest Officer along with the field staff members of Hinga Forest Range were seen rushing to the spot. The staff members were then seen calling the fire tenders from Nagpur Municipal Corporation along with Trimurti Nagar and Wadi area. In the meantime, the field staff members were seen extinguishing the fire seeking the help of air blowers. The staff members then soon took the fire under control in just two hours in the morning.
On the other side, Dr. Prabhu Nath Shukla the DC of Forest Nagpur was seen paying a visit to the spot, claimed the Forest Department, and then registered an offense in this regard. Also, the Chief Conservator of Forest P Kalyan Kumar along with his Assistant Conservator of Forest reached at the spot and then were seen discussing with senior officers of MSEDCL about the preventive measures to be taken in the coming future in order to avert such situations.
