Gadchiroli-Telangana border earthquake of 4.3 Richter scale felt along
The National Center for Seismology (Ministry of Earth Sciences) has confirmed this phenomenon with a depth of about 77 km.
Nagpur: On Sunday on the Richter scale struck Sironcha taluka of Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli near the Telangana border an earthquake of magnitude 4.3. The collector of the Gadchiroli, whose name is Sanjay Meena, has said that there has been no loss of life or property of any kind at all.
The National Center for Seismology (Ministry of Earth Sciences) has confirmed this phenomenon with a depth of about 77 km. Which started at latitude 19.00 and longitude 79.96 at around 6.48 in the evening.
According to the latitude and longitude, the epicenter of this earthquake has been reported near the Jafrabad chak on the border of Gadchiroli and Telangana, just near the Pranhita river in Sironcha taluka.
Collector Sanjay Meena has also said that now only official information is awaited from the concerned departments.
People felt furniture and floors trembling inside the house
Sanjay Meena has said that “We will share the details of the occurrence of this earthquake when the official communication reaches us. So far only we have got confirmation of this incident.”
Sources in the Sironcha said that for about 5 to 10 seconds everyone felt the furniture and floor trembling inside the house. A resident has also told that all the people came out of their homes out of the fear. But before they could understand the anything about what was happening. This event was over.
District sources have also said that the earthquake was felt in the adjoining taluks of Aheri and Ashti as well.
The impact of this earthquake was felt in many parts of Telangana, even up to Belampalli. This earthquake was also felt in many areas of Kagaznagar and Mancherial.
