Learning Licence Scam: Police Probe Has too man holes claim DCP
Just after 17 officials form RTO were nailed for their alleged role in the learning license scam, the DCP of Nagpur, Mr. Khedkar has pointed out a couple of holes in the probe carried out by the Sitabuldi Police. The people suspended from RTO include two Motor Vehicle Inspector and Five Assistant MVIs in the said learning license probe. However, the police are yet to arrest the official suspended in the case. The DCP of Nagpur Police, Shweta Khedkar, however, has indicated a number of loopholes in the probe.
Talking about the same, she said that the probe has several technical aspects, which remained unaddressed. She further said that she is pursuing the matter and leaving no stone unturned to bring out the best from it. If you remember, the case of LL Scam was handed over to the Sitabuldi Police by the Nagpur Police Commissioner. Talking about the allegations, the MVI Abijeet Khare and others are under the radar of the police and they could be arrested soon.
They are being booked by Sitabuldi Police against the charges made under the sections of 419, 420, 464, 465, 468 and 471 and the Sections 66 C, and D of the IT Act. The DCP further said that though the Sitabuldi police have carried out the probe but they have not carried out any arrest of the 17 people accused in the matter. The online system created by the RTO was misused by these people who used to issue hundreds of licenses to the people carrying out the malpractices in it.
