Minister Eknath Shinde appreciated prosperity highway project

Eknath has said that international standard technology has been used for the highway as well. The road work has been of good quality.

Wardha: Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde after visiting the Arvi toll plaza on Sunday said that the distance from Nagpur to Mumbai will be reduced to just about six to seven hours due to the Hinduhrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Samrudhi highway project.

Eknath had also inspected the flyover built for the movement of wildlife just near Pulgaon.

In this meeting, Joint managing director Anil Kumar Gaikwad, executive engineer Hemant Jagtap, collector Prerna Deshbhratar, State road development corporation vice-president and managing director Radheshyam Mopalwar, superintendent engineer Ashwini Ghuge, chief engineer Sudhakar Murade and others were also present.

Eknath has said that international standard technology has been used for the highway as well. The road work has been of very good quality. Keeping the environment completely balanced, environment-friendly work has been done and about 11.5 lakh trees are being planted on the entire highway. Forest resources should also be protected. Then for this, a very special flyover has been made for the animals on the road so that wild animal can easily come and go.

He has also said that arrangements have been made on these bridges so that all the animals are not affected at all. Emphasizing the development of these regions, Eknath has said that along with the development of industry in the Vidarbha region, the route will be of great importance for the transportation of farmers’ goods.

Eknath himself also drove his car on the road near Arvi toll plaza and also got these roads inspected. The length of the Samridhi Highway is about 58 kilometers. Width 120 meters. About 782 hectares of land have been acquired for this highway from about 34 villages of Selu, Wardha, and Arvi talukas. About Rs, 2,762 crore has been spent on this route. About nine flyovers, including 27 small and 5 major bridges, have been constructed for uninterrupted traffic on this route.

Interchanges have also been provided at Virul and Yelakeli. About two special flyovers have been built for the movement of wildlife.
