Makers of Akshay Kumar-starrer Prithviraj changed the name of film to Samrat Prithviraj
As per the many rounds of discussions between us, and in order to resolve the grievance raised very peacefully and amicably.
Akshay Kumar starrer historical drama Prithviraj has just been given a new name. The name of this film has been changed to Samrat Prithviraj only after being demanded by the Karni Sena. Along with this, the producers reportedly also informed about their decision by writing a letter to the National President, Youth President, and President of Shree National on Friday that the name of the film has just been named Samrat Prithviraj.
As per the many rounds of discussions between us, and in order to resolve the grievance raised very peacefully and amicably, we will completely change the title of the film to “Samrat Prithviraj”. We greatly appreciate the mutual agreement between us that you do not have any other objection regarding our film itself. And all the other points raised by you already are not at all disputed between us now. We also thank Shri Rajput Karni Sena and its members for understanding our many good intentions regarding the portrayal of a great warrior in the film. Along with this, he is also grateful for your full support, locally and globally, for the release of the film and also for the assurances given in your letter, Read a part of the letter written by the CEO of YRF.
Just a few days back, there were also reports that the Karni Sena, which had expressed concern about the film, has given its green signal after seeing it. However, he has also demanded a change of title by asking the makers of the film to add ‘Samrat’ to the title. Along with this, the request of Shiv Sena has been accepted by the makers of Prithviraj.
Talking about Emperor Prithviraj, then Akshay Kumar will also play the lead role along with Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, and Ashutosh Rana among others. This film is also the first film of former beauty pageant winner Manushi Chhillar and it is directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. This film is going to be released on the date of 3 June 2022.
