Modi government, RSS want to end reservation: Congress
Atul has said that the backward class people have voted for the BJP and they have been brought to power at the Centre.
Nagpur: Congress party’s chief spokesperson Atul Londhe on Monday accused the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government of he is working on a systematic agenda set by the RSS to end the reservation system for all sections of society.
Atul has said that the backward class people have voted for the BJP and they have been brought to power at the Centre. Right now the same BJP government is trying to uproot all those people. After OBCs and Marathas, the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will also be completely deprived of reservation. The purpose of the policies of the BJP government is to deprive the backward class of its rights.
On the issue of Narendra Modi’s government filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court, clarifying that people having more than five acres will be ineligible for economically weaker sections reservation. Atul has also said that the anti-Bahujan face of BJP has been exposed.
People of Marathwada, Vidarbha region who have a debt of more than 5 acres, will not be eligible for reservation at all, he also said.
Economically Weaker Sections Reservation
Congress party general secretary Atul has also said that since BJP cannot directly abolish reservation at all, Because of this, he had adopted a similar back door to accomplish his goal.
All this points out that the necessary empirical data for reservation of OBCs was not provided by the BJP at all, Atul has also said that as a result, the political reservation of OBCs in the entire country includes Maharashtra is in great danger.
He appealed to the public to “recognize the hypocrisy of the BJP”, saying that recently the panchayat elections in Maharashtra were held without OBC seats. The same is the situation in Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. The Center has not approved the reservation above about 50% at all and economically weaker sections quota is also being tampered with. Maratha community which was eligible for economically weaker sections reservation, too will not be eligible for this at all.
