Nagpur Once Again Ranks at the top in the Smart City Project
As Nagpur chooses to grow in terms of having several facilities given to the citizens of the city, we can see it again topping in the list of smart city projects. The city is known for its orange culture and has proved once again that it is technologically parred with the development apart from being the safest and greenest place to live in the state. It has been ranking first in Maha state and second in India in these elements. While ranking the 100 cities in India in terms of these factors, Nagpur tops the list.
All the cities chosen under 100 Cities in India, Nagpur has been named as the second city by the Ministry of Urban Development of the Government of India in terms of development. This has been the second time in the past six months to see such things happening for Nagpur. However, It has gone down in this list when we talk about the country level but in the state, it still holds the top position for being the best smart city. The top ten cities included in the list include Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Surat, Ranchi, Indore, Vellore, Kanpur, Vizag and Baroda.
The smart city project has a couple of things including having CCTV cameras, Wifi Zones, and many more things like environmental sensors for the air quality index display in the region. Also, with its current developmental plans including Project Tender Sure for which around 650 crore INR have been pumped out also has made the city at the top. This very project is based in the areas like Pardi, Bharatwada, and Panapur that gives facilities to 1.13 lakh residents.
