Nagpur ZP shut down for a week due to hike in Covid-19 cases
Nagpur: Due to the sudden hike in the infection rate of global pandemic among the employees of Zilla Parishad taking the count to 18, the administration has ordered to shut it down for a week only allowing the health department to continue functioning.
The ZP building will undergo sanitization on a daily basis during its closure, i.e., from August 24 to August 30. The heads of various departments are commanded to assign atleast two employees for the sanitization duty.
This halt will result in the loss of four working days (August 24, 25, 27, 28) as August 26 is a public holiday on the occasion of Mahalaxmi and August 29 and 30 being weekend.
The decision turned up on Sunday during an emergency meeting of CEO Yogesh Kumbhejkar and President Rashmi Barve. Kumbhejkar henceforth stated that the employees will have to come to work during the shut down only if there is something important.
The senior officers are ordered to remain in continuous touch with their respective heads of department.
