Over a thousand police chase a wild goose across the city
On Monday, the girl, a resident of Fetri, had contacted the police station in Kalamna and told that she had been abducted in a white Omni van from the area of Tony Ramdaspeth at around 10 am.
Nagpur: For about 5 hours, more than 1 thousand police have to chase a wild goose across the city, Because a 19-year-old lodged a complaint about her abduction and gang rape on Monday. As soon as 100 different police teams went through the CCTV footage from around 250 places, they found strong evidence that the whole story was concocted.
On Monday, the girl, a resident of Fetri, had contacted the police station in Kalamna and told that she had been abducted in a white Omni van from the area of Tony Ramdaspeth at around 10 am.
The girl said that she was on her way to a music class in the area when the abduction took place. 2 masked men had taken her to a completely isolated place in Kalamna. Where the girl was gang-raped and then left to fend for himself.
Scan CCTV Footage
As the police officers swung into action, their first call was to scan the CCTV camera footage based on the girl’s statements. Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar has told the media that the girl had got down from a bus near Moonlight’s studio and went to Rani Jhansi Square in an auto and then went to Mayo Hospital where she got down. Then from that hospital she took another auto and went to Chikli (Kalamna) and then went to the police station of Kalamna.
With the footage of the CCTV camera as evidence, the girl has confessed that she had fabricated this story.
Amitesh has said that the girl did it because of some personal issues. According to sources, the girl had a fight with her boyfriend, who was planning to get married to someone else. And that girl’s admission has been done in a well-known city college located in the heart of the city.
